Failed or declined transactions

Transaction failed or Transaction was declined messages can happen for several reasons: 

  • The WI-FI connection may be off or unstable. 
  • Card reader connection timed out.
  • Inserting/swiping the card timed out.
  • Waiting for the PIN/signature authorization timed out.
  • Damaged card (chip error, magnetic tape damaged).
  • Unsupported card type. In this case, the customer needs to use a different card.
  • Insufficient funds.
