Sometimes, bars and restaurants need to make a distinction between the same item types without creating new products or new variations. We can do this by using modifiers.
The modifier does not have to affect the price, nor it will be visible on the invoice, but it will certainly make a difference to the bar/kitchen staff, and what matters most to all of us, to the customer.
For example, you can use modifiers to:
Make temperature variations: |
Add a side dish or side item(s): |
Exclude something from a regular order: |
You can create two types of modifiers:
- Single
A single modifier type limits you to only one option per item. - Multiple
You can select as many options as you wish, like in the example below.
Bizzon enables you to:
- Create a modifier
- Rearranging modifiers' display order
- Add a new modifier
- Delete a modifier
- Delete a set of modifiers
- Assign a modifier to a product
- Select a modifier in the app
- Edit a modifier on a product in the cart
This is how a modifier appears on a printed order:
i.e. coffee with cold milk
Modifiers will not be printed on order stubs and receipts unless an additional charge applies for them.
Note: At this moment, it is not possible to track records of modifiers on the stock or in the invoice reports.
